The finish at Royal Ascot

Landing places

Racecourses and venues

Event days are when most helicopter arrivals happen. Each venue sets its own rules, often through a temporary helipad.

Venues control their own helicopter arrivals. Rules apply to organised open-air events: a helicopter must not land within 1,000 m of an organised open-air gathering of more than 1,000 people without the organiser's written permission and CAA procedures.
